The innovative packaging produced by Klabin for specialty green coffee ensures greater protection for the packaged product while offering a qualitative leap in bean conservation and generating important savings for the chain.
To demonstrate the results, a joint study was conducted by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), the Specialty Coffee Association of Brazil (BSCA), Klabin, Videplast and the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA).
The final results after 18 months of the study entitled "Development of Packaging and Storage Methods for Specialty Coffees," conducted by Prof. Flávio Meira Borém of the Federal University of Lavras, show that the solution presented by Klabin offers superior performance than that of traditional jute packaging and similar to that of vacuum-sealed packaging, albeit at a lower cost.
